How long does it take to stop a garnishment?
A wage garnishment will be stopped at the time that you file your actual bankruptcy petition. We will send a letter
to your employer letting them know that the garnishment needs to halt due to the filing of your bankruptcy case. The
constable is also notified. The sooner you file the sooner you get to keep ALL of your hard-earned money!
